RULES MANUAL COMING SOON!

Divisions B and C Events and Rules

For DIVISIONS B and C, South Carolina will offer a sampling of events virtually for the State Competitions:
The rules for Div B & C are released by the National Science Olympiad organization and will be available for free download to everyone starting early in Sept at on their site here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although we will not have regionals this year, in a typical year, Varsity and Junior Varsity teams will compete together at Regional competitions. Regionals are qualifiers for the State Competition, pick whichever is most convenient for you but you can only compete in ONE Regional.  The Varsity team that represents a school at the State Tournament can be any students the coach and team decide. It could even be someone who did not compete at the Regional Tournament. The only thing the regional tournament does is to qualify the school to send a team to the State Tournament. Who the members of the final Varsity team are who compete at the State Tournament is totally up to the school. The only requirement is that all students on a team be members of that school’s student body as defined by the administration of the school.  The top 10 schools from each regional competition will automatically move on to the state competition.
